Project Description
Shotomul Agro Firm has been operating since 2026. Currently, the farm has 30 cows, 100+ bulls, 100+ goats, 20+ sheep (dumba), and 20+ buffaloes.
Many agro businesses purchase products directly from Shotomul Agro Firm. The firm slaughters cattle every week and supplies around 55 mon of beef weekly through B2B sales.
In addition, the farm has received a large number of pre-orders for Qurbani cows, goats, and sheep (dumba). There are also pre-orders for shared Qurbani packages. A Qurbani animal display center has been established at Banasree M Block, where more than 300+ Qurbani animals will be showcased. Shared Qurbani shares and slaughtering services will also be managed from this center.
Risk Assessment & Mitigation Strategy
Issue 1: Disease or Death of Livestock
Disease outbreaks or livestock death may cause financial losses.
Mitigation:
• Regular veterinary checkups
• Preventive healthcare management
• Controlled feeding systems
• Diversified livestock inventory
Even if minor losses occur, revenue from remaining livestock and ongoing meat sales can sustain profitability and investor repayments.
Issue 2: Theft & Transportation Risk
Livestock theft during transportation or storage.
Mitigation:
• High-wired security fencing
• Trusted and experienced workers
• Controlled farm access
• Monitored transportation process
Security inspections indicate the farm maintains acceptable operational safeguards.
Issue 3: Feed Cost & Growth Management
Increasing feed costs can impact profitability and cattle growth.
Mitigation:
• Efficient feeding strategy
• Balanced nutrition planning
• Experienced livestock management
• Pre-planned 3-month feeding cycle
• Specialized 1-month Qurbani project management
